This third book in the Ruben series, RUBEN: My Friend Jesus is Baptized, tells the story of the baptism of Jesus by his cousin and friend John the Baptist. Eighteen years have passed since Jesus, at age 12, was found safe and sound in the Temple in Jerusalem. Now, Ruben's mystical white star has guided them safely to the shores of the Jordan River, where some amazing things are about to happen.

Although some details have been added to sustain the young reader's interest, the focal, biblical information surrounding Jesus' baptism can be found in the New Testament. This story, for all ages, helps us to explore the meaning of our own baptism as we listen to Jesus' story.
